George F. Winters, AAPS Administrative Directory - 7/8/2021

I invited a few show promoters operating shows this fall to share information about their upcoming shows. It's not too late to find a selling space if you're interested.

Laura Delano, "West Coast Gem & Mineral Show"

The West Coast Gem & Mineral Show is loaded with opportunities to acquire merchandise to purchase or for resale. Our 2021 show has a great cross section of over 70 dealers and includes major suppliers from across the U.S. with merchandise from around the world. Vendors will be selling fossils, minerals, gems, jewelry, meteorites, beads, lapidary, crystals, metaphysical supplies, home décor items and much more.

The show offers an enjoyable and educational experience for the whole family and an outstanding shopping opportunity. Collecting fossils and minerals is an excellent hobby for all ages. Specimens from beginner level to museum quality are available in all price ranges. Open to the public, wholesale area for qualified buyers, free admission and parking is $10/day.

Lowell Carhart, the "Denver Showcase"

Prompted by the COVID pandemic, the city of Denver converted the Denver Coliseum into a homeless shelter more than a year ago. This could have been devastating to the Denver Showcase, but, serendipitously, the pandemic forced an annual equestrian event out of business, thus freeing the Events Center at the National Western Complex (NWC) for the Denver Show to relocate. The Events Center is just a few hundred feet north of the Denver Coliseum and it is much bigger and airier. And unlike the Coliseum, the Events Center and NWC are Union-free.

As a result, for 2021 we'll be almost 50% bigger than our pre-COVID size. There are now more than 100 tents. Both levels of the Events Center and Level 2 of the Main Building are sold out. Level 1 of the Main Building is 65% full and filling fast. And to meet the demand for higher-end booths, we've introduced the SHOWCASE on Level 3. This carpeted 24,000 square-feet space is reserved for upscale dealers who exhibit and sell from glass showcases, whether it be minerals, fossils, gems, jewelry, artisan knives, or artifacts. Even though SHOWCASE booths are priced the same ($15 per sq.ft.) as those in the Events Center, they include classy hard walls and overhead stage lighting for no additional cost. Two elevators will whisk you up to Level 3, or take the stairs. Parking is free, admission is free, and 50,000 customers are expected over the ten days of the show, September 10 - 19, 2021. If you have questions, please email Heather@EonsExpos.com.
