Enjoy these cacti pictures from Saguaro National Park. The park is just a 20-40 minute drive (dependent upon traffic) from downtown Tucson, Arizona. The park has two sections, to the East or West of Tucson. This consists of the Tucson Mountain District (TMD) to the west of Tucson and the Rincon Mountain District (RMD) to the East of Tucson.
The Giant Saguaro cacti can only be found in a small portion of The Southwest United States. It is protected within the park and other beautiful fauna and flora of the Sonoran Desert. There are 165 miles of hiking trails within the park to enjoy and some petroglyphs. You can also spend time observing the diverse geology found in the area.
If you are in town for the Tucson Gem, Mineral, & Fossil Showcase, take a minute to enjoy the beauty of the desert.
